Several Maasai settlements are accessible to visit when on a safari. Although you will meet many Maasai and have the chance to tour their community and learn about their culture, these settlements are close to the main roads, and some visitors have commented that the trip felt a little unsettling.
You will be urged to purchase some of their jewelry or crafts while you are there, and it costs $50 per vehicle (this is by no means compulsory). It is unavoidable that the experience has lost some of its authenticity over time, and we are working to find clients alternate options. Although you are more than welcome to come, we wanted to be honest and upfront about the kind of experience you may currently anticipate.

What can we see and experience at the Maasai Boma?
If it’s not too hot, a beush walk with a Maasai guide is really intriguing. On this walk, you can observe flora used in traditional Maasai medicine, possibly some animal footprints, Maasai livestock, and more, depending on where we are and when we visit. Be careful since while it can be requested, this bush walk is not always available.
The Maasai community where the family leader resides with his wives, multiple kids, and all of his cattle is known as the Maasai Boma. We will see the main fence constructed of thorny acacia branches, fences for animals, their homes, and how they prepare food. Typically, they will welcome you with a welcome song and offer you to participate in their traditional dances. Remember to haggle a little bit on the price before purchasing any jewelry or trinkets.
You can joke about with Maasai people because they are typically amiable and lively, but keep in mind that they are fierce warriors. Generally speaking, you can snap pictures, but it is best to inquire first.
