Kilimanjaro expeditions are centered on this peak.Uhuru is Mount Kilimanjaro's highest point. Approximately 250,000 years ago, this volcanic cone erupted.
This is known as Hans Mayer Peak, the second-highest peak. Many aren't because of the risk and technology involved. This cone erupted some 500,000 years ago.

The highest point in Africa and is one of the Seven Summits. There's absolutely no need for technical mountaineering experience. That doesn't mean, however, that the task is simple. It is not necessary to have technical expertise. In actuality, it's merely an ascent. You may have to scramble up the "Barranco Wall," depending on the Kilimanjaro route your trip ultimately selects.
Situated 5,750 M above sea level, this is Mount Kilimanjaro's highest camp. Just 145 M separate it from the top.We provide the chance to spend time at Crater Camp while traveling the Northern Circuit and Lemosho itineraries. The regular itinerary will gain one day with this choice. Kilimanjaro Ascent® must approve unusual requests solely due to concerns about client and crew safety.
Following your summit attempt, our qualified guides will perform a brief medical check-up to see if you are fit to proceed to the ash pit and crater, which are about two to three hours away from the peak back Stella, or to the glacier near the sign, which is about an hour away. It is best for your health and safety that our guides decide whether or not you should visit.
Kim2024-01-09The best crew and an unbelievably smooth and fun climb! We went with Kilimanjaro Ascent after it was recommended by a friend and we had an incredibly smooth and wonderful experience. We were prepared for worse, having had bad experiences with prior high altitude climbs. The crew was knowledgeable and attentive and did everything to ensure we were always comfortable, happy, and healthy - we never felt better on a climb! The food was nutritious and tasty, the tents warm and comfortable, and our guide, Honest, was our biggest coach and cheerleader. It was the small gestures - like noticing that my breathing was getting labored and adjusting our pace, to pausing after every slippery step to check if I was okay, to proactively helping with small tasks like hanging rain gear or putting away poles so I can conserve energy - that added up. 100% will recommend Kilimanjaro Ascent to anyone we know who is planning to do this!T J2023-11-23Great experience! Great guide, took good care of us during the trip with numerous safety checks. Kept a good pace and great knowledge of the area. Would definitely go with him again in the future!Jeremy T2023-11-06Dream came true! This was a life-long dream of mine for many years, to climb the rooftop of Africa. I was able to achieve this thanks to the guides. I went on a hike with two other friends, taking the Lemosho route to climb Kilimanjaro. The guides briefed us each day on the route and the night prior, checked our vitals to ensure we were fit to hike. It wasn't just the guide who helped us but a team of good cooks and porters. The guide spoke perfect English and we had fun with them throughout the hike. Highly recommend Kilimanjaro Ascent for your climb to Kili!!!Tripadvisor rating score: 5.0 of 5, based on 3 reviews
