MOUNT MERU TREKKING TOUR
50 kilometers west of Mount Kilimanjaro, Mt. Meru is located in the center of Arusha National Park. Having a height of 14,980 feet, Mount Meru is an enormous lava well (4,565 meters). Because of its altitude acclimatization and ascending separations, this hike serves as an ideal preparation for Mount Kilimanjaro. Additionally, this journey is designed for hikers who want challenging climbs and smaller groups. Because of the variety of species that lives on the mountain and the fact that Mount Meru is located in Arusha National Park, trekkers are required to ascend with a provided officer.
Hikers are sure to spot elephants, giraffes, and bison on the mountain’s lower slopes! The trail follows the north edge of the spring of pouring lava’s hole along a stunning edge line as hikers continue their ascents. Hikers take breaks in designated hovels along the trail for the duration of the ascent. The views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the Mount Meru Crater are stunning for hikers who reach the summit as the sun is rising.
